Kennebunk Coffehouse is Southern Maine's premier venue for the best in folk and acoustic music.  Regular performances are held on the second Saturday of every month, September through June, at 8 PM in the Parish Hall of the First Parish Unitarian Church at the corner of Rt. 1 (Main Street) and Rt. 35 (Fletcher Street).  Periodically, there are special events which may take place at alternate times and locations.

For additional  information, take a look around the site for information about our travel directions, past performers, volunteering and more.  The coffeehouse email is: shawn [at] kennebunkcoffeehouse.com .   Shawn Henderson, Coffeehouse Director, is reachable by phone at: 207.229.0212.

Kennebunk Coffeehouse is a non-profit, completely volunteer-run organization.  Through the generosity of the First Parish Unitarian Church, our home has been at the church since the coffeehouse began.  In the fall of 1999, Shawn Henderson of Wells, Maine became the volunteer Coffeehouse Director.

Each month, we present the best in folk and acoustic music.  The atmosphere is friendly and warm, with open theater style concert seating.  We are committed to presenting music in the best way we can.  Great care has been taken to design a sound system that does just that.  Our sound engineer, Mark Nesvig, makes sure that each artist is heard the way he or she wants to be heard.   Dale Robin Lockman and the hospitality volunteers, Lisa, Anne, John, Kevin, Rick, Carolyn and others, work hard to be sure the artists are made to feel welcome and cared for, so they can concentrate on presenting the best show for our remarkably attentive audiences... and that our dedicated, friendly, music-loving audience members are comfortable.

Delicious goodies (many are homemade and/or donated by Cherie's Bakery in Kennebunk) and beverages are available at affordable prices.  If you have attended the Kennebunk Coffeehouse, and have had an enjoyable evening, tell your friends, and bring them along.  Helping us grow our audience is the best way to support the Coffeehouse!

The Kennebunk Coffeehouse is operated entirely by volunteers.  If you would like to become a part of the team of dedicated Kennebunk Coffeehouse Volunteers, please contact Shawn Henderson.  Assistance is needed with putting up posters and fliers, setting up and cleaning up at concerts, ticket sales at the door and much more.  The Volunteers are committed to making the Kennebunk Coffeehouse a fabulous experience for everyone...the artists, the audience and ourselves!  We work hard, and enjoy supporting the work of these talented performers.  It is gratifying to be a part of this warm-hearted, music-loving community!
